Judy Lawson - Dean of Students Ms. Lawson believes in utilizing all of life's experiences for good purposes. She has experienced pain and rejection of an absent father and divorce as a child and an adult. Her life experiences included a drunken, violent father until she was five...then at the age of 12, her mother married a loving, caring, and gentle man who adopted her and her sisters and became her father.
Always having a heart for youth, Ms. Lawson felt called to ministry at Oneida Baptist Institute in 1986 where she served for 19 years. She worked as a night house parent for 15 years, serving in the younger boy's dorm, and later in the girl's dormitory. Her favorite thing there was talking one on one with the students about the Lord and how he had the solution to all of her problems and theirs. Many times she would share how God used the pain and trials of her life to encourage the students. The last four years at OBI, Ms. Lawson served as Dean of Students. In 2006, the Lord called her to Bethel Fellowship to work in the school and help establish RRYR. Ms. Lawson was the first house parent and served two years in that compacity. She continues as Dean of Students at Bethel Christian Academy and is part of the administrative staff of RRYD.
